Reality television is such a popular choice for viewers. It knows how to bring the drama (sometimes real, sometimes not, sometimes it is somewhere in between). People love to watch train wrecks and a lot of times, that is exactly what reality television offers them.
Who needs to live real drama when you can watch real drama? This is a huge industry in television, especially as some channels seem to focus their program solely on the most insane reality television ideas that they can get away with.
However, reality shows are only as good as the stars in them. This will take a closer look at these reality stars to see if they are legit or scam people into believing a persona.
Omarosa
A reality star so well-known, you know exactly who she is without hearing her last name (which is Manigault-Newman, in case you were wondering). She rose to fame as the villain in “The Apprentice”, which led to not only subsequent appearances in the reality series but also numerous others including her most recent stint on “Celebrity Big Brother”.
You’ll be happy to know that people say she is actually a beautiful soul in real life.
Snooki
Nicole “Snooki” Polizzi was known for her drunken moments on “The Jersey Shore”, including being arrested for being intoxicated in public. It is hard to say whether or not her persona on the show was legit or a scam, but since her time on it she has turned her life around. She is now a married mother of 2 that seems to have other priorities.
We will see if she turns her persona back on when MTV does a “Jersey Show” reunion.
The Kardashian Clan
The fact is, whether you like it or not, the Kardashian/Jenner family rules reality television. Are they who they appear on television? Some would argue that this depends on which Kardashian you are talking about.
The consensus seems to learn towards either Kim or Khloe being the most authentic of the group while others point to the younger Jenner girls Kylie and Kendra.
Chip and Joanna Gaines
When you think about reality shows, you may not be thinking about an HGTV television show.
This couple is a great team and seem like they are a happy and loving family. But is it real? All signs point to this pair being a legit duo that is as authentic on screen as they are off of it.
Gordon Ramsay
Gordon Ramsay is a guy who has made his fortune insulting people to the point of tears. He may have been a talented chef and restauranteur before, but thanks to his time on reality television, he has catapulted to fame. He has a reputation for being an abrasively rude and cruel personality.
This is merely a scam. Gordon Ramsay understands what sells and for some reason, people love watching a British celebrity chef berate everyone. In real life though, he is a much nicer person.
